April 22, 2007

Okay! I know it has been a long time since I updated the blog. Marissa is 8 months old today and Harrison is now 2 1/2...how time flies! We spent our first Christmas here. Harrison opened and played with his many toys and helped Marissa open her presents. We realized that Christmas really is about them and our home is wherever they are. We missed Michael (he was with his mom) and all of our family in California but we had a great time in our new home and with our family here. We learned that Mr. Potato Head is scary to some 2-year olds and that less is more when it comes to gifts. We also spent our first New Year's Eve here. We didn't realized fireworks are not only legal here but you can buy them at Long's drugstore. We lit off the groundflowers which are my favorite from childhood and some fountains. Our time here is going by quickly. We stick to a Sunday beach schedule for the whole family's sake. Michael can surf while Delton and I snorkel. Harrison has a viewfinder boogieboard and Marissa floats in a tube (usually asleep). Harrison's favorite new phrase is "me do it myself"...typical 2-year old. Marissa crawls everywhere and stands almost on her own. They are both growing well and learning new things everyday. Life is good! Aloha to you all!
